Code Of Conduct

Possession and Production of Identity Card: Every bonafide student of the Institute must wear his / her Identity Card at all times when he / she is in the campus.
|

A student who is found in a tutorial batch or a division or a class, which is not meant for him, will be severely dealt with.
|
3.
|
Students should not loiter in the corridors or in the Institute premises, particularly when classes are going on.
|
4.
|
Complete silence should be observed in the Library, Reading Room as well as in the Classrooms.
|
5.
|
Students are advised to maintain low voice conversation in the corridors.
|
6.
|
Use of cell phones in any form within the Institute premises is strictly prohibited. On breach of discipline, the cell - phone holder will be liable for a penalty of Rs.500 for the first offence. In case of a repetition of the offence cell phones will be confiscated.

No fund collection is to be made by any student without prior written permission from the Director.
|
8.
|
Students should take care of their books, exercise books, calculators and other belongings. They are advised not to leave these in the classrooms, library, canteen, gymkhana etc. The Institute is not responsible for any loss/ theft / damage to the articles or valuables of the students.
|

|
Students are not permitted to park two wheelers or four wheelers in the Institute premises.
|
10.
|
Students should not cause any damage to Institute property and should not indulge in any activities through electronic media including social sites, which are harmful to the reputation of the Institute.
|
11.
|
The Director has the power to determine the suitable disciplinary action, for maintaining discipline and proper conduct of the students of the Institute.
|
12.
|
Smoking & Drugs :
• Smoking is banned by law and is strictly prohibited in the Institute premises and canteen. Students are expected to refrain from smoking.
• Any student found anything to do with use of narcotic drugs shall not only be expelled but will also be subjected to police action.

ATTENDANCE :
• Students are expected to attend all lectures, tutorials, seminars according to the time table. They shall not remain absent from lectures, tutorials, seminars, practicals and examination without prior permission of the Director, and in any case without intimation.
• Attendance in all the lectures / tutorials is compulsory.
• Minimum attendance of 75% in theory lectures, tutorials & practical will be required separately, out of the total number of lectures, tutorials and practicals conducted in the term / semester.
• The defaulters' list of students for each month will be displayed on the notice board of the Institute by 10th of the following month. The defaulter students should collect the attendance and submit undertaking to the office by 15th of the same month, stating therein that they shall show improvement in their attendance.
• It will not be obligatory for the Institute to give intimation regarding shortfall in attendance to any one including the parents of the students. Decision of the Director shall be final and conclusive.
• Students who do not fulfill the requirements of the minimum attendance of 75% and are above 60% due to medical reasons or circumstances beyond their control, are required to submit their valid explanation with documentary evidence for shortage of 15% attendance.
• All the records of Attendance and Performance of the students shall be recorded in the Bonafide Certificate issued by the Institute, notwithstanding the purpose for which it is issued.

DRESS CODE :
Students are required to wear formal clothes and are strictly prohibited from wearing the following in the Institute premises.
• Boys: Caps, hats, half - pants, shorts, Bermudas, Sleeveless T-shirts.
• Girls: Girls: Caps, hats, half - pants, shorts, Bermudas, skin tight dresses, revealing dresses, short dresses or short skirts, sleeveless and short tops and pedal pushers. Facial piercing other than that for ear- rings and noserings strictly prohibited.

ANTI RAGGING MEASURES :
• Ragging within or outside of the institution is strictly prohibited as per AICTE Directives.
• Whosoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates ragging shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term up to 2 years and /or penalty which may extend to ten thousand rupee.
• Any students convicted of an offence of ragging shall be dismissed from the Institution and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational institution for a period of five years from the date of order of such dismissal.
• Whenever any student or, as the case may be, the parent or guardian or a teacher of the institution complains, in writing, of ragging to the Director, the Director of the institution shall, without prejudice to the foregoing provisions, within seven days of the receipt of the complaint, enquire into the matter mentioned in the complaint and if, prima facie, it is found to be true, suspend the student who is accused of the offence, and shall immediately forward the complaint to the police station having jurisdiction over the area in which the educational institution is. If there is no substance prima facie, in the complaint received, he/she shall intimate the fact, in writing to the complainant. The decision of the Director of the educational institution shall be final.
• Additional punitive provisions stipulated by the latest order of the Supreme Court.
